Founding Partner
Jaime Ventura Escacena
Jaime has more than 15 years of experience in the renewable sector. He has been founder of Everwood Capital and has participated in the development of more than 177 MW of photovoltaic projects. In addition, Jaime is a practicing lawyer and holds executive positions in different companies. He is Managing Director of Campusfree, SL, CEO of Inversiones Capitalia Sur, SA and Corporación Ventura Osuna, a company dedicated to renewable energies and director of Pimmera, SA among others.
Additionally, Jaime has a long experience as a professor at the University of Seville and has also given several lectures and classes in other courses and masters. Jaime has a law degree and a Master in Financial Law from the University of Seville.

Founding Partner
Juan Ruiz Fuentes
Juan has more than 12 years of experience in investment banking, specifically in the structuring and financing of infrastructure and renewable energy projects in excess of €800 million. He also has extensive experience in the development of the rest of the investment banking products with SMEs and mid-size companies.
Prior to joining Austral, Juan was Senior Manager of Project Finance at Banco Popular, responsible for non-performing asset risk in Andalucía.
Subsequently in 2018, following the integration of Banco Popular with Banco Santander, he became part of the Investment Banking credit specialist team of the
Andalusian territorial division, where he originated and executed 13 transactions of renewable, RE, corporate and bilateral loans projects amounting to more than €100 MM of investment.
Juan holds a degree in Business Administration from ETEA and a Master in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking 2007-8 from IEB.

Structuring, financing and restructuring of operations in the renewables sector for nearly €800MM (c. 275 MW in photovoltaic).

Manuel Ibáñez Prieto
Manuel, trained as an engineer, has worked in corporate environments and in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Andalusia. He is a mentor in several innovation and entrepreneurship programs in Spain, connecting startups, companies and investment through different initiatives.
He is currently Managing Partner of Austral Venture Pyme SCR.

Support in the professionalization of pre-seed/seed startups from day-to-day operations, development of tangible strategy based on objectives, sales engine, team management, connection with Venture Client and different headaches of the founding team.

Director of espacio_RES, a startup accelerator based in Seville. Accompanying startups and supporting them in the creation of a disruptive, solid and profitable business model in the long term.

SGS Huelva
Director of the Huelva delegation, being appointed the youngest director of the SGS Group in Spain.
Coordinating a team of 40 professionals in the areas of consulting, inspection, certification, technical assistance, prevention, training, environmental consulting and non-destructive testing.
